About Us

In a world driven by the relentless demand for sustainable energy, lithium-ion batteries are the beating heart of our modern lives—from powering electric vehicles to storing renewable energy. Yet, with every charge, we edge closer to a growing challenge: the environmental toll of battery waste.

PUNAR (meaning ‘rebirth’ in Sanskrit) is embarking on a crucial mission to turn that challenge into an opportunity, by designing a cutting-edge lithium-ion battery recycling plant that not only reduces waste but reclaims valuable materials, propelling us towards a circular economy for energy consumption.

Established in 2024, our vision is to reduce the carbon footprint of fulfilling our energy needs and drastically reduce the need for mining new materials from the earth.

Why Choose PUNAR?

EPR Compliance

Under India’s Battery Waste Management Act, 2022, PUNAR will be a registered waste recycler to ensure battery manufacturers extended producer responsibilities (EPR) of processing end-of-life batteries in an environmentally protective manner.

High Efficiency in Black Mass Recovery

As a result of our best-in-industry technology, we will achieve 99% purity of black mass of the black mass we produce.

Strong Relationships in the EV Sector

Our team brings over 30 years of expertise and fostered relationships in the EV sector which position us to secure consistent and high-quality feedstock of end-of-life batteries for recycling.
